Te Ngae Country
Lodge is surrounded by beautiful grounds, in which you can enjoy
a walk in superb New Zealand bush or sit and enjoy the sun.
At the lodge
we'll provide you with everything you need to enjoy your stay
while with us. Enjoy your evening meal provided with the finest
NZ wines, relax in the spa pool, or take in Rotorua City for
a day full of sight-seeing or shopping.

This brings
us to what Rotorua is all about.
Marvelous lakes in close proximity to Te Ngae Lodge. Trout
fishing, guided if you wish. Boating expeditions on the
lakes. Geothermal wonderlands, experience boiling mud, geysers
that explode steam metres into the air and lakes that boil in
different areas too!

A celebration
of Maori culture, both in food, crafts, music and dance awaits
you in Rotorua.
Lovers of the
natural bush and forest have easy access to the beauties of Rotorua's
many walkways and bushwalks, including Rotorua's majestic Redwood
Forest. These are extremely popular. We also offer (free of course)
an ecological walk at Lake
Okataina. This takes about 2 hours. It includes a guided
walk around a short, flat portion of the lake where you learn
about some of New Zealand's numerous flora and fauna. There is
also an old Maori Pa site nearby for the more adventurous.
The more adventurous
can experience white water rafting, lugeing, parachuting, horse
trekking and game shooting.
